Zymus International Limited is a privately owned New Zealand company formed in 2001, when two businesses with proven track records of excellence, Citrus Services (NZ) Limited and Enzyme Services (NZ) Limited amalgamated.
Zymus International combines the outstanding attributes of these two progressive companies, both of which have a strong history of achievement since the mid-eighties.
Managing Director of Zymus International, Maria Dagger, is the eldest daughter of the late Dan Pedersen, who founded the original companies. Ms Dagger’s vision builds upon this legacy and forges a successful future for Zymus International.
Citrus Services was formed in 1984 to fulfil the role of technical sales and marketing of products for internationally based suppliers of flavours, essential oils, colours, fruit juice concentrates and food ingredients to the food and beverage industries.
Enzyme Services was formed in 1985 to deliver enzyme systems, auxiliaries and bio-products to a wide range of industrial processing industries. These included brewing, fellmongery and tanning, fruit, wine and dairy processing, protein hydrolysis and food manufacturing.
Zymus today is the best of these two strong and experienced, technically driven teams. Using the latest innovative technology, Zymus consistently produces winning solutions which improve existing products and create successful new brands.
Zymus’ history of achievement includes new product development, particularly with flavours and enzyme systems, for both the New Zealand and Australasian markets.
